About the Thunder Bird and Crawling Wolf that represent First
Nations Wildcrafters, BC
Our Logo Design was a commissioned artwork done by world class
artist and carver Patrick Amos of the Hesquit First Nations.
The Thunder Bird's presence displays the forces of creation with the
power of thunder, lightening and cold stones of ice that fall from the
sky. The Crawling Wolf teaches us of family and our social
responsibilities to each other. Countless stories, teachings, practices,
dances and songs come from these legendary relatives.
From these lands and ancestral rights of knowledge that form an
informed basis of understanding and a way of life it is appropriate that
the Thunder Bird and Crawling Wolf represent the values and
